One of the Trapet family's historic holdings, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru En Ergot derives from a parcel acquired in the 1880s (during the phylloxera crisis, it sold for the lofty sum of 400 Francs per barrel) that's the continuation of premier cru Petite Chapelle but with deeper soils. Revealing aromas of cassis, sweet plums, orange zest and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a textural, gourmand profile and powdery tannins that assert themselves on the finish.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Capita is the usual blend of fruit
from the premiers crus En Ergot, Corbeaux and Combottes, supplemented by
a visual selection of small-berried clusters from Petite Chapelle and
Clos Prieur, though Trapet notes that this may be the cuvee's swan song,
as his sons are keen to vinify these parcels separately. Wafting from
the glass with scents of cassis, dark berries, peonies, raw cocoa and
spices, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with terrific
concentration, lively acids and an elegantly complete profile.
Concentrated but beautifully refined, it's a fabulous wine in the making. -

1級区画である「Ergot（エルゴ）」「Corbeaux（コルボー）」「Combottes（コンボット）」の3区画をアサンブラージュして造られるワイン。 小石の多い粘土石灰質土壌で3区画の合計の広さは0.6ｈａ、平均樹齢は45年になります。
プラムのような香り、ストラクチャーがしっかりしていて、甘味と酸味の旨味も強くリッチな味わいのワインです。

The 2015 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Capita comes from five premier crus:Petite Chapelle, En Ergot, Corbeaux, Combottes and Clos Prieur, and it is 100% whole bunch fruit. It has a very elegant bouquet, the stem addition neatly disguised and barely conspicuous, merely lending freshness and personality to the black and red brambly fruit. The palate is fresh and well defined with blood orange notes infusing the vivacious red fruit. This has wonderful balance and infectious vigor that I hope will be translated once in bottle. This has so much to offer, one being that oft overlooked sense of "fun". -

￥12,650 （税込）COMMENT赤いサクランボや潰したイチゴの香り、酸味のあるフランボワーズのアロマも感じられ、グラスの中でバラの花びらのアロマが広がる。甘くジャミーな口当たり、渋味は柔らかく素晴らしい深みがある。エレガントだがもう少し熟成させればもっと良くなるだろう。

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is very promising, mingling notes of cherries and berries with sweet soil tones and hints of rose petals and spices in an incipiently complex bouquet. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and elegant, with fine depth at the core, ripe and refined tannins and a penetrating finish. -

2018年のシャペル シャンベルタンは非常に良くできている。

From holdings located exclusively in lieu-dit En la Chapelle, Trapet's 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru offers up an inviting bouquet of cassis, plums, dark chocolate and pungent spices, framed by a deft touch of toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, it's deep, layered and fine-boned, built around elegantly chalky tannins that are cloaked in a lively core of fruit.
