The 2016 Charmes Chambertin Vieilles Vignes has a generous bouquet with perfumed red cherries, crushed strawberry and cranberry scents laced with Chinese five spice and crushed flower petal aromas. I appreciate the focus and elegance here. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe red berry fruit, extremely well balanced and restrained (not unlike Denis Bachelet's that I tasted in my prior visit). There is plenty of tension here, and there is a satisfying salinité on the finish that lingers long after the wine has been swallowed. This is a superb Charmes-Chambertin from Christophe Perrot-Minot.

モレ・サン・ドニに本拠を構えて4代続く家族経営の生産者。1973年にアンリペロ・ミノによって設立、1993年に現当主のクリストフが継承して以来、気鋭の生産者として評価を高めています。
なだらかな斜面の中腹辺りに位置する風通しの良い畑で、樹齢は50年以上。年間生産量は8樽ほどです。厚い表土は石灰岩などが堆積し、シャンベルタンと比べ泥灰土の比率が高いです。
赤系果実とフローラルに土やサンダルウッドを感じる溢れるほどスパイシーで複雑なアロマ。しっかりとした骨格もあり、たくましさと優雅さのコンビネーションが素晴らしく、非常に長い余韻が楽しめます。

Another rather backward cuv?e during my visit was the 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, elegantly muscular wine evocative of cherries, wild berries and potpourri. As with the Griotte, I'm hesitant to even offer a score, and look forward to revisiting the wine in bottle.

シャルム・シャンベルタンに所有している区画の面積は0.8ha、樹齢は50年以上。石灰の岩盤層の上に浅く広がる表土は砂利や泥灰土で構成され赤みがかっており、所々で岩が露出している土壌です。
タンニンや果実味が滑らかで艶やかな味わいが特徴的です。10年以上の熟成を経ても変わらない端正な表情が期待できるワインです。

フレッシュさやハリのあるタンニンを感じる男性的なスタイルのワイン。シャルム・シャンベルタンを名乗れますが、味わいの違いを的確に表現するため敢えて「マゾワイエール・シャンベルタン」として瓶詰め。

Invariably one of Perrot-Minot's finest wines, the 2019 Mazoy?res-Chambertin Grand Cru lives up to expectations, mingling aromas of wild berries and rose petals with hints of orange rind, exotic spices and beetroot. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's layered and velvety, with considerably incipient complexity and enough powdery tannin to balance the sucrosity of fruit that characterizes this ripe vintage.
