COMMENT
トルトニアン時代（約1000万年前）に形成された、ほかのサンタガタ地区よりも砂質の多い海洋由来の地層からなる。
もともとは潮流の激しい海底だった。
保温性が高い一方、保湿性は低い土壌。
これらの要因によって高いレベルのポリフェノールとタンニンのあるブドウが得られる。
モンフォルテの中でも最南端かつ標高の高い位置にある畑は、風通しがよくブドウがゆっくりと時間をかけて熟すのに適している。

The Lalù 2021 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is a complete and finely balanced wine, offering light berry fruit, floral notes and small-grained tannins that feel elegant rather than austere. Energy defines the palate, with a sense of lift that carries through the finish and supported by a delicate vinification that favors infusion over extraction. Drawn from a windy, southern Monforte d'Alba site with pale white marl soils and fermented in Austrian wooden vats with extended but largely static maceration, this Barolo highlights finesse as a defining feature of the estate’s approach.
