私は過去に一度だけですが、マーカッシン・ヴィンヤードのピノを飲む機会に恵まれました。
なんだこのエチケット？って、当時このワインの事を知らなかった私でしたが飲んで衝撃を受けたのを覚えております。
ヨウドを感じる深い果実の香り、色合いは艶っぽくてまるでドメーヌ・ルロワのGrand Cruを飲んでいる感覚です。
アメリカでもこんな素晴らしいピノ・ノワールが造られている事に驚いた次第です。
それから何本か仕入れて販売しました。5万円程度だったかと思います。
ドメーヌ・ルロワは、その当時でも手が出ない程高かったので「ルロワ」を求めるお客様にお薦めしました。

現在は、その当時の倍ほどに値上がりしていますがピノ好きな方には是非一度はお試しいただきたい銘柄の一つです。
ご検討の程よろしくお願い申し上げます。

The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.

The brilliant 2007 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge reveals a DRC character with notes of forest floor, blueberries and raspberries. Riper and richer than anything but the greatest vintages of DRC (i.e., 1990, 1999, 2003 and 2005), it reveals sweet, broad flavors, ripe tannins and a long, layered finish. It should drink well for at least a decade.

The 2006 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge possesses wonderful notes of boysenberries, blueberries, raspberries, damp forest and spring flowers. With full-bodied richness and complex aromatics, it seems more evolved and open-knit than the Three Sisters. This savory, full-throttle Pinot should drink well for 10-12 years.
