レオヴィル・ラス・カースの2ndとして馴染みのあるワインです。
2ndとしてプティ・リオンがリリースされるようになって立場が変わりました。
ブドウの栽培区画が違うようです。
ラス・カーズがラフィット風なワインに対して、クロ・デュ・マルキはソフトで親しみのあるマイルドなタイプです。
香り良く早くから楽しめるワインですから、ワインを飲み始めた頃は特にお気に入りのアイテムの1つでした。

2021年の評価は93pとかなり高い評価であります。
飲み頃は2027年から2050年と予想されています。
2021年にご縁のある方にお薦めしたいワインです。
10年後、20年後を楽しみにキープされては如何でしょうか。

From bottle, the 2021 Clos du Marquis is just as impressive and serious as it was in cask. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of blackcurrants, lilac, burning embers and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with a concentrated core of lively fruit, sweet but abundant tannins and a long, palate-staining finish.

COMMENT

ボルドー第2級格付けで、現在トップと言われているシャトーです。
本来ならピション・ラランドがその立場だったのですが、ラス・カーズの著しい躍進がその様な評価となっているようです。
今回はこれでもかなりお安く仕上がっておりますが、実際は4から7万円ほどで販売されるようになっています。
2021年は96+pと非常に高い評価です。飲み頃予想は2031 - 2065年とかなり先です。
2021年に縁のある方に記念のワインとしてお薦めいたします。
5年後は、こんな価格で購入する事は不可能でしょう。

The 2021 Léoville Las Cases has turned out beautifully in bottle and clearly numbers among the very finest wines of the vintage. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries and cassis mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, violets and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated with a deep and multidimensional core of fruit framed by beautifully refined tannins and girdled by lively acids, concluding with a long, penetrating finish. Serious and structured without being austere, it's a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and a mere 5% Merlot.

The 2005 Leoville Las Cases is a classic that numbers among the wines of the vintage in the Medoc. Wafting from the glass with notes of dark berries, cassis, incense, burning embers, sweet soil tones, dark chocolate and cigar wrapper, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a vibrant core of fruit, lively acids and sweet, powdery tannins. More elegant and refined than the hulking, uncompromising 2006, the 2005 is nevertheless a powerful, tightly wound wine that will reward further bottle age, even if it's actually quite expressive today.

The 2019 Leoville Las Cases is a brilliant young wine that will delight Bordeaux purists. Unwinding in the glass with scents of cassis, dark berries, cigar wrapper and pencil shavings, it’s full-bodied, layered and tightly wound, with a deep core of fruit, lively acids and an abundance of rich, powdery tannins. Concentrated and serious, much like its immediate neighbor Chateau Latour, it is likely to emerge as one of the vintage’s longest lived and greatest wines.
