Unwinding in the glass with aromas of pear, orange oil, beeswax, hazelnuts, white flowers and bread dough, the 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is full-bodied, rich and multidimensional, with a textural attack that segues into a layered and impressively taut, chiseled mid-palate. Built to age, this will reward patience. As usual, readers should note that this wine is identical to the Bâtard-Montrachet released under the Morey-Blanc label.
