Medium to full-bodied, seamless and multidimensional, it's velvety and layered, with lively acids, beautifully ripe tannins and a long, resonant finish. This is a benchmark Cazetiers from the only proprietor to own holdings that stretch from the top to the bottom of the slope.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is very promising, mingling notes of rose petals and wild berries with hints of loamy soil, sweet spices and a discreet application of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, it's fleshy and enveloping, with lively acids and a suave, elegant profile. This is well worth seeking out.
