The 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité is another brilliant rendition of one of contemporary Burgundy's most fascinating wines. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of lime zest, white flowers, wet stones, oyster shell and subtle reduction, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a multidimensional core of fruit that's framed by racy acids and huge reserves of chalky dry extract. Incisive, penetrating and tightly wound, anyone lucky enough to acquire a bottle or two should plan on a minimum of a decade's patience.

Planted at 20,000 vines per hectare but not yet deemed mature enough to merit the "Haute Densité" moniker on the label, Lamy's 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumées is his best to date from this site, bursting with aromas of pear, citrus zest, smoke and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with racy acids, chalky structuring extract and a long, saline finish.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles reveals aromas of pear, orange oil, white flowers, nutmeg, beeswax and peach. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, it's a fleshy, generous wine with good energy and precision, even if it can't match the tension and intensity of the top Saint-Aubin cuvées at this address.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Le Concis du Champs has turned out very well indeed, exhibiting aromas of crisp orchard fruit, fresh peach, orange zest and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's concentrated and fleshy, with serious structure and depth—which won't surprise anyone who saw the small, open clusters with thick skins that Lamy harvested in this parcel in 2020.

面積：0.9ヘクタール　　植密度：11,000本/ha
畑・土壌：深い表土。南東向きの粘土石灰質土壌。　標高：230メートル　斜度：１％
樹齢：1930～1970年に植樹　　
栽培：グイヨ仕立て。この16年、化学肥料は一切使わず、土壌のためのコンポストを与えています。
葉の表面が太陽を最大限享受するためにパリサージュ（枝の固定）は高く1.4メートル。
ドメーヌの畑ではリュット・アンテグレを採用しています。
醸造：手摘み、小さなケースで葡萄を運搬。プヌマティック（空圧）式プレスでゆっくりと圧搾。
デブルバージュ（前清澄）せず。300リットルと600リットル（ドゥミ・ミュイ）の樽で発酵。
（ヴォージュ産、アリエ産、トロンセ産…新樽比率0％、１～9年樽使用）。
温度管理をしながら90日間発酵。バトナージュせず。
熟成：熟成がゆっくり進むように低い温度で熟成させます。
樽でマロラクティック発酵。24か月熟成後、重力で瓶詰め。
味わい：光沢のある若々しい緑がかった色調。白い果実、柑橘類、ほのかにトリュフのアロマがあります。
ミネラル感があり新鮮なワインです。

This cuvée is a particular success this year.

Once again, the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard contains the young high-density plantings that Lamy deems insufficiently mature to merit inclusion in his Haute Densité cuvée. Offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil and freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, its satiny attack segueing into a taut, chalky mid-palate and a long, mineral finish.

大理石に香りがあるのか？と聞かれたらもちろん無いです、と言うより他にないのですが　白く硬質な石を思わせる緊張感に満ちた香りは例えるなら大理石のような荘厳さ。
追いかけるような緑のシダや柑橘、白桃の微粒子は恐ろしいほど細やか。酸がしっかりと軸にあり硬質で凛とした佇まいはまさにクロ・デュ・メ。早摘みのエグさが皆無なのは狂気にも近い葡萄に対するアプローチの為せる業。
中間でひゅっと引き締まりわずかに若さ由来の収れん。遠く遠くまで香りの光線が突き抜けていくように果実が鮮やかに真っ直ぐ伸びていく。やはり次元の違う世界を見せてくれる。（2023年1月　村岡）

Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's unusually fleshy for this site, located below Derrière Chez Edouard, but it retains good cut and chalky grip.

The 2020 Saint-Aubin La Princée is also very attractive, offering up aromas of crisp green apple, fresh mint, white flowers and warm bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's built around racy acids and chalky extract. It's a model of purity and precision.

自然派的な意味ではない還元的な造りが特徴的なラミーのワインはともすれば不愛想に感じることすらあります。
2020年はトップから完熟した果実が開放している今までにない印象。
冷涼産地でゆっくりと完熟した黄色果実を思わせる香りはどこか異次元的で超大御所生産者の持つ気配に満ちています。ハチミツがまるで光の糸のように鼻腔に絡みつく立ち上がり。
口に入れるとミネラルのテグス、ハチミツの絹糸が束になって上昇。酸が毛羽立つこともなく大きなスケール。
余韻にかけてわずかに収れん性を伴う洋ナシ。
ただただ巨躯を思わせる気配に満ちているのに威圧するような強さを感じさせない卓越した世界。
ポテンシャルも非常に高く、抜栓後も大きな上昇曲線を描きます。

The 2020 Bourgogne Les Chataigners is already expressive, exhibiting aromas of crisp green apple, orange oil and nutmeg, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and giving palate underpinned by racy acids, and concluding with a mouthwatering finish. Lamy's grander appellations may be entering the pricing stratosphere on the secondary market, but this superb cuvée remains very accessible and is well worth seeking out.
