Unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet citrus oil, crisp green apple, white flowers, hazelnuts and wet stones, the 2020 Meursault Blagny 1er Cru is medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with excellent concentration, racy acids and chalky structuring extract. It's a blend of very old vines with a more recent planting. -

The 2020 Meursault Village now incorporates all the lieu-dit bottlings that Jobard used to produce, and the result is unsurprisingly deeper and more complete. Offering up notes of pear, crisp green apple, white flowers, pastry cream and hazelnuts, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, with tangy acids, chalky structuring extract and a penetrating finish. -

The king of the cellar is the 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres, a deep and concentrated wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of pear,peach, freshly baked bread, white flowers, ripe citrus fruits and buttered popcorn. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a layered, multidimensional profile and a long, saline finish, it has turned out brilliantly.
