The bright garnet colored 2019 Pinot Noir Trarbacher Schlossberg *** is pure yet concentrated and intense on the nose, with iodine-like slate and delicate flinty and concentrated red berry and dried floral aromas. It's unique in style and flavors, intense and show-stopping. The palate is crystalline and silky, fresh, savory, tight yet saline, and the structure carries this concentrated rather than lush Pinot to a long and dense finish. The mouthwatering mid-palate dries a bit on the finish, but it is a very positive astringency that is backed up by ripe and concentrated fruit and serious substance. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in May 2023.

南西向きの急斜面のため、栽培コストが非常に高いため、畑作業を放棄したくなるが、生み出されるワインは明らかに素晴らしいピノ・ノワール。
