The 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge bursts with aromas of red berries, licorice, spices and orange rind. Medium-bodied, supple and melting, with lively acids and a pretty core of fruit, it's a charming, fine-boned wine that derives from a parcel situated at 410 meters elevation in Nantoux. Since 2015, Devevey hasn't destemmed this cuvée, and he's rightly happy with the results.
